Advisory Commission on Seniors and Families
Mission:
· To examine the situation of senior citizens from a psychological and material perspective,
· To raise public awareness on the desires, aspirations, and rights of senior citizens,
· To see to the establishment of relationships between people of different generations through fostering dialogue,
· To encourage all actions that contribute to the defense of individuals’ psychological, cultural, and economic well-being,
· To provide municipal authorities with suggestions and proposals on measures to adopt,
· To offer advice on any subject deemed useful, acting on its own initiative or by request of the municipal authority, and to follow through in carrying out projects initiated.
· To inform senior citizens on the decisions of the Municipal Senior Advisory Council,
· To evaluate the efficacy of municipal policies and practices;
